Sage® R8 Spey

After several years of research and development, SAGE offers a new series of very complete Spey rods, 13 models of two-handed rods, from 12'6 silk 5 to 15' silk 10 which benefit from the exclusive R8 technology. Each model has its own action because each rod meets a specific need depending on the size of the rivers fished, the power of the currents, their depth and the species of fish sought. This fishing requires rods capable of casting and recasting precisely and efficiently. A good two-handed rod must be able to cast and recast a line and its fly intuitively and comfortably. Minimum fatigue, maximum pleasure in launching and controlling your drift.

The R8 technology exclusive to SAGE makes it possible to carry out the 3 essential phases of Spey  CAST:

• 1 LIFT which is the action of lifting the water line to be able to form the D LOOP.
• 2 LOAD This is the rod loading phase during the formation of the D LOOP
• 3 DELIVERY is the phase of transmitting energy from the rod to the silk, the leader and the fly.
