Tiemco® TMC 2457

The Tiemco® TMC 2457 is considered to be one of the most popular and important hooks for tying small mayfly nymphs, caddis pupa, midges, or scuds. With this hook being very stout it can also be used for egg patterns and it is very rare to have one bend out on big fish. Sometimes tying standard patterns like Birds Nest or Princes give the fly a unique look that fish do not often see. When in doubt, tying mayflies or caddis pupa, use a 2457.
